John Reilly - Managing Director and Financial Planner
John started in the Financial Services Industry in 1979 as a Life Insurance Medical Underwriter before moving into the investment, savings, and pensions sector working for several household names through the late 80’s. He set up Goodwill Financial Services in 1991 and has been advising clients ever since, incorporating the company in 2006.
The business ethos has always been to provide value for money, apply the latest knowledge and thinking, and make life as simple as possible for clients to do business and arrange their financial affairs. John certainly takes his work seriously but not necessarily himself.
Andy Jenkins - Mortgage Advisor and Financial Planner
Andy has worked at Goodwill for some time. Starting in 2001, what was then, a building society agent. He moved into the financial services world gaining a wide range of qualifications. Andy found mortgages and protection to be his ideal specialty. He is also Equity Release qualified with many years of expertise in this area.
Andy is here to make the mortgage process as simple and stress-free as possible. He is committed to helping clients make informed decisions with their mortgages and ensuring they are getting the best deal available.
He is proud to be part of the Goodwill Team and looks forward to helping more people in the years to come.
Outside of work he enjoys embarrassing his stepdaughter with awful Dad jokes! He has a pet Dachshund who always puts a smile on his face.
Gerry Clapp - Financial Planner
Gerry has been working with us since 1998. He has a great deal of experience in financial services. He has a long-standing group of clients to which he dedicates his time.
Richard Arden - Financial Planner
Richard is the newest addition to the Goodwill team. He joined in June 2022 as a financial planner, having previously worked for Transact since 2008. At Transact Richard spent most of his time working with financial planning firms helping them to get the most out of the service. He has worked for Lloyds Private Banking as an investment reviewer and Legal & General working with life policy ownership.
Richard has achieved the highest level of qualification with our professional body. He is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and has achieved the Investment Management Certificate.
Caroline Dark - Mortgage Administrator
Caroline has worked at Goodwill since the early 2000's. Prior to this, she worked as a receptionist in a dental practice.
Caroline deals with the administration side of mortgages. Timing is critical with mortgages so she helps to ensure that everything is on track and that all the parties involved are working together smoothly including lenders, solicitors, agents, and clients.
Kerry Knight - Pensions and Investments Administrator
Kerry has worked at Goodwill since 1993, only two years after it all started. She’s had a long and varied career in financial services having started at the tender age of 16. We don’t know how long ago that is as we won’t ask a lady her age!
Kerry deals with the administration of pension and investment clients. This can be any number of things across a wide spectrum of tasks. In short, she makes sure the right things are done at the right time to make everything work.
Kerry is the office baking expert regularly wowing us with her baking and artistic skills.
Sue Reilly - Financial Director
Sue started in the Financial Services Industry in 1978 as a Life Insurance Medical Underwriter at Phoenix Assurance. She started working at Goodwill in 2000 having previously assisted John in setting up the business. Sue has been Financial Director since 2006.
